The fun and camaraderie of Camp Ardenwoods continued all month as residents engaged in various activities sure to inspire that youthful summer camp feel. The spirit of competition continued with badge earning opportunities and “cabin” competitions. Residents of all abilities earned badges by participating in everything from lectures to art to baking to hiking!
Everyone got some target practice in with Nerf and rubber band guns and a good old fashioned “tin can alley” bean bag throw. The cabins showed their pride through creating art for Chalk Your Walk and enjoying Sing-A-Longs, as well as gathering to watch the spell-bindingly beautiful Camp Bubble Art Show and competing against other cabins in hilarious turns of Camp Pictionary. We all joined together in a moving community read-aloud of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
All-in-all, the Camp was a huge success enjoyed by both residents and staff. A big shout out of thanks to all who worked behind the scenes and to participate in the opportunities. Together, we made it a summer camp to add to our memories!
